We are building a new P&C insurance platform from scratch — and looking for our first Staff Engineer to build the technology behind it.

This is a deeply hands-on, AI-native full-stack role. You will take the platform from an empty repository to production, write code across backend and frontend, and use AI coding agents as your default development approach without compromising quality or security.

Every day, you’ll be #closer and:

• Design and build the insurance core: product configuration and pricing, quotes, policy issuance, changes, renewals, billing, payments, and claims-related workflows;

• Build backend services with Java 21+, Spring Boot, microservices, PostgreSQL, and REST and gRPC APIs;

• Develop customer buying journeys and internal tools using React and Next.js, with KMP mobile integrations;

• Integrate bank customer and identity services, payments, lending systems, and insurance partners using APIs and Kafka or Azure Event Hubs;

• Ship production code with AI coding agents, using clear context, specifications, tests, reviews, and security guardrails;

• Set up Azure-based delivery with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitOps, automated testing, and OpenTelemetry;

• Build in secure development, access control, audit trails, GDPR, DORA, and bank security standards;

• Own technical quality and architecture, evolve the platform, and mentor engineers as the team grows.

To be #closer, you’ll need:

• Strong full-stack engineering experience: hands-on Java/Spring Boot and React/Next.js;

• A proven record of designing, building, and shipping production systems end to end;

• An AI-native workflow: you routinely ship code using AI coding agents and can validate their output;

• Solid microservices, API integration, PostgreSQL, data modelling, and cloud-native experience;

• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and secure engineering;

• Confidence owning architecture, making trade-offs, and working with business stakeholders.

Nice to have:

• Insurance, fintech, banking, or other regulated-industry experience;

• Experience taking a greenfield platform to production;

• Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) experience;

• Knowledge of the P&C policy lifecycle, financial records, or IDD, DORA, and GDPR.
